Q&A |
Siblings01/08/07 It seems to me that the world's religions are like siblings separated at birth. We've grown up in different neighbourhoods, different households, with different songs, stories, traditions and customs. But now we've been reunited, and, having found each other after so many years apart, we look into each other's faces and can see the family resemblance. We're back together again, and it's very good Richard Watts, Presbyterian minister While Rev. Watts'optimism may be a little premature, the idea that the world's religions are actively searching for common ground and methods of fostering harmony are encouraging. The principle of the Golden Rule fuels this kind of dialogue and offers a point of contact for the most diverse of philosophies.

I welcome opportunities to speak to groups of all
kinds about the universality of the Golden Rule. |
