There are many thoughts out there about the Golden Rule and I find that many are too sweet for my taste.  This one was the meat and potatoes I crave.   David Keating’s research on the ancient meaning breathes life into the words.  If you’ve heard the rule so many times it doesn’t catch your attention anymore, this book will surprise you.  It doesn’t stroll and meander…it gallops freely and reconnects you to a practical gift that has always been just under the surface.  Thank you!

As luck would have it a copy of Do Unto Others fell into my hands, or more accurately laptop. I have long believed that the Golden Rule is the path to peace, prosperity and human growth so I looked forward to reading a book on the topic.   As I began to read, my first impression was ‘this is a rather simplistic view of the world’, but the more I read the more I learned.  The returning to the Greek origins of words that appear to be so familiar yet have far deeper meanings than what first meets the eye.  The 7 Questions, again, on the surface simple but dig deeper they become complex and far reaching.

All combined to make a simple book into a complex thought provoking read. It was a pleasure to find the concept written in a way that managed to express the complexity and breadth of living a life of mutuality in a simple, straightforward manner.
